Welcome to the Official 40th Reunion Website
of WPHS Classes of '69 & '70!
It's difficult to believe our 40th reunion weekend has now come and gone, but the extraordinary experience and wonderful memories will live on in each heart always!
It was amazing!! Our 40th Reunion Weekend of October 2, 3 and 4, 2009 was a positively magical three days. Classmates traveled from all over the United States bringing their bright, friendly, positive spirits, electrifying enthusiasm, open hearts, (and of course, dancin' shoes), creating what many have described as a kind of "love-fest," celebrating the people who comprised our childhood, in the place where our lives began. In the spirit of WPHS Classes of 1969 & 1970, all three events were deemed by everyone we've heard from, to be one of the most non-stop fun, and in many ways one of the most meaningful weekends of their lives.
While the committee worked long and hard to create the reunion and we deeply appreciate the many, many warm expressions of appreciation for our efforts more than you will ever know, that year-and-a-half of preparation would have all been for naught had not so many classmates interrupted their busy lives and traveled from near and far to gather once again. We are so deeply touched by every kind word from every classmate...but it is we, who also want to thank You...for your joy and excitement, your generosity of spirit in so many ways, and for making our WPHS 40th reunion weekend an "effervescent" and awe-inspiring weekend of friendship and affection!
The reunion committee also wants to express our profound thanks to the following people, each of whom was a tremendous help in making this reunion the success that it was. We are delighted to enthusiastically recommend all their services without reservation:
- Ms. Elizabeth Guillet and Ms. Ronelle Carter and the staff of Marriott Renaissance Westchester Hotel for their gracious welcome and professional attention to every detail of our reunion from start to finish.
- Mr. Bob Lance for his fabulous music and professionalism as our DJ
- Mr. Jeff Meyerowitz of Graphic Management Partners for this skillful printing of all reunion related materials.
- Sam's of Gedney Way, who did a terrific job and everyone there agreed was the perfect place to kick off the reunion weekend.
Special thanks to our amazing support volunteers, Miss Kate Egan and Miss Emily Egan (daughters of Tim Egan,'69 & Nancy Hart Egan'70,) and Miss Rebecca Hidalgo (daughter of Liz Fink Hidalgo, '70 and David Hidalgo,) for their unwaveringly responsible and cordial assistance on every aspect of the Main Event.
To those of you who were unable to attend, you truly were missed and we offered a prayer for your well-being and happiness in your honor. To those who were able to be there, Thank You! We had a blast too... thanks to you!
